Los Angeles, CA June 2010 – Nightingale Studios, a famous Burbank rehearsal studio and recording facility, has recently upgraded one of their showcase rooms with a system from Spectr Audio. The showcase rooms have an audience area, so in addition to the monitors, a “front of house” system is also in place.

Room B now features a system that includes the massive SPX1535N for audience playback, with the SPX118 subs underneath. On the stage, there are 4 USS 3 floor monitors, and a USS3 with an SPX115 sub for the drummer. The system is powered by prototype amplifiers, which will soon be introduced into the Spectr Audio model line. The processor for the mains is also a prototyope of the DSP units Spect Audio will soon release.

The system was a serious upgrade for the facility, with Showcase Room B now on par with the main Showcase Room.

“We’re always weary of new gear, but we decided to try this out,” says Jay, the operating manager who’s responsible for setting bands up for each session. “We had to do some EQ work to bring the monitors to the level we needed, but the reaction from the bands has been really great. Spectr Audio may be cutting a nice niche with musicians, it’s a very musical sounding system…all the nuances are definitely there.”
